Subject: CVAC Open Event and Elections!
From:
Laura Boga, Vice Archon
Date Sent: July 12, 2010

Attention all Alumnae Sisters!

This is for all sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma either initiated to the Theta Mu Chapter or presently living in the Central Valley of California. The Central Valley Alumnae Chapter wants your support, participation, and leadership as we move into a new phase. As college-educated women now developing our lives, there is no doubt that we all have obligations and commitments which leave little time for sorority participation. The alumnae chapter understands the demands of post-graduate life which is why we are looking to keep events light and fun and by increasing our membership we hope to disperse responsibilities even further. We will be holding an open event and we are encouraging all alumnae sisters to show up, socialize, reconnect with old friends and learn about ways to participate at both a local and international level. At this event we will also hold ELECTIONS FOR ALL EXECUTIVE BOARD POSITIONS for the Central Valley Alumnae Chapter.

We are forever indebted to the women who pioneered the alumnae chapter years ago and have kept its membership running. We will now have the opportunity to pass the roles and duties of the chapter to women looking to continue and expand its efforts.

PLEASE SAVE THE DATE:

CVAC Reunion and Elections
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 6:00p.m.

Lampost Pizza
2321 W. Main Street, Ste B
Turlock, Ca

According to the bylaws of the Central Valley Alumnae Chapter, any sister may become a member provided she is in good standing with Phi Sigma Sigma Headquarters and has paid her annual alumnae dues of $20. Again, annual dues for alumnae chapter membership are only $20!! Half of your dues will be sent to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation as part of the Alumnae Chapter's annual donation. The other half is allotted for programming and/or donations to Theta Mu. In order to hold a position with the Central Valley Alumnae Chapter or to vote on chapter business (elections, bylaws, financial contributions) you must have your membership dues paid by the start of the reunion event. For more information on paying your dues, please visit http://psscentralvalley.com/index.html.

This is a crucial point in our chapter's history and we have the potential to impact it's entire future. I hope you will take some time to remember your experiences with Phi Sigma Sigma and make the decision to be at the event on August 17th. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. Thank you so much for your time in reviewing this information. I look forward to a large and exciting reunion in August!

In our bond,

Dear Alumni Sisters:
My name is Marina Calderon and I am the community service chair for the Theta Mu chapter. Spring is rapidly approaching and we are planning our annual Easter Egg Hunt, which will be held the morning of Saturday, March 27th. We would love for all of you to join us.

I been looking at the budget and what supplies I need in order to have a success event, I would like to ask you for your financial support. I would like to be able to purchase more candy for the return center and I have ideas for the activities and supplies I would need to purchase. The Easter Egg Hunt is an important annual event and the members of the chapter would like to keep the tradition going.

I am sure you ladies have fond memories of being in chapter and working at the Easter Egg Hunt. It is a really fun event that the community benefits from and looks forward to each year. Thank you for the time to review our request. If you have any further questions or you would like to make a contribution please contact me at the phone number listed below no later than Saturday, March 20th. Again thank you, I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
Marina Calderon

Subject: Phi Sigma Sigma Alumnae- 2009 dues
From:
Danielle Emel
Date sent: Thu, 12 Feb 2009

Sisters,

I wanted to remind you that we have started a new year and it is time to pay your 2009 annual CVAC dues.

I hope you received the letter from the CVAC board back in September. The letter tells you that you may either pay $20.00 now or "pay as you go." The pay as you go option requires you to pay $5 at each of our 4 events. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about either option.

Remember, we donate $10 per paid member each year to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation, so your dues not only help to continue the club (and maintain our website), but they also go to a good cause!

We also receive contributions through Escrip. Please visit our website at www.psscentralvalley.com to see how you can sign up and start earning money for our club! Earn enough money and we will apply it towards your next years dues.

Thank you to the following sisters who have paid their dues for 2009!

Jamie (Sweeney) Garner
Kelli Christensen
Lisa Prine
Heather (Mitchell) Ishikawa
Elena Gomez
Ashley (Moore) Baldwin
Brannin Dorsey (applied dues from Escrip contributions from 2008)

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!!

litp,
Danielle Emel and the CVAC Board

Subject: Hello phi sig alums
From:
PSS Theta Mu
Date Sent: Fri 11/21/08

Hello ladies,

I would like to begin by introducing myself, my name is Laura Leon and I am our chapter's current MRC, for a few more weeks at least. As my time on eboard, and in chapter, comes to a close I have become more and more aware of our unfortunate lack of communication with our wonderful alumna. Fortunately, this year we were able to benefit from the newly developed phisigs only website and recently added the google calendars feature to our homepage. In order to do so, I created the google account from which you are receiving this email and which will be handed down to future executive boards. This account will hopefully also serve as our main line of communication with our campus, our community, potential new members and of course alum!

For now, you may view our calendar any time at http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/phisigmasigmatm@gmail.com/public/basic in XML (able to subscribe to this calendar) or full month view in html http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=phisigmasigmatm@gmail.com&ctz=America/Los_Angeles, and if you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to email me at laura.leon@ymail.com. Also, if you would not like to receive any further notifications or know of another alum who did not receive our email just let me know and I will be happy to take care of it. Thank you for your time.

Sign up at: http://www.escrip.com
Name: Phi Sigma Sigma Central Valley Alumnae
Group ID: 7540194

This is a painless fundraiser. There is no cost to participate. We have about 9 people currently signed up and 4 of those people frequently shop at participating stores. Just shop at participating stores and sign up your Grocery Savings Cards.

So far those four people have raised over $150.00 through October 2005. Think how much money we could raise if 10 or 15 more people signed up.

We are currently using this money to fund a scholarship for Theta Mu.

Please sign up today if you can.
