These are Madison's 11 month pictures. She has taken her first steps and is still working on her balance. These portraits have 3 very special elements which I would like to share with all of you. The dress Madison is wearing was made by her Great Grandma Williams and given to Madison this summer as an early birthday present. Great Grandma made the dress for Madison's Great Aunt Louise when she was a baby. The Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls were made by Madison's Grandma Cathy (my mom) they are just like the dolls my mom made for me when I was little. And finally the chair was mine when I was a toddler. As the story goes I was shopping with my parents in Cost Plus and I saw the chair- picked it up and carried it all over the story saying "my chair". My parents couldn't pry it out of my hands so they had to buy it for me and I have had it ever since. Madison is now enjoying the chair as she uses it to climb up and stand on so she can reach all kinds of things she is not supposed to get into! Madison has gone through a recent growth spurt as she can reach higher and higher and we can tell she is gaining weight as mom & dad cannot hold her nearly as long and our backs are very thankful that she is learning to walk.
Madison loves to wave hello and goodbye and has learned to clap her hands.
She claps her hands when she hears music she likes or when she throws her toys (usually balls) but not always.
